Have you ever ended your day and all you can think about is how badly you want to go back and relive the last few hours? Yesterday was one of those days for me, and to be honest, it's just as much bitter as it is sweet, but I'm glad I at least have photos to remind me of the magical experience! I spent my afternoon chasing around three little babes that were dressed up like woodland explorers and took on the roles of their outfits seamlessly. I had the honor of organizing this shoot with the mama behind Hide and Cotton, the creator of the beautiful hats all the girls were wearing. The moment each of the girls put on their hats they transformed into little explorers, curious about everything, and ready to take on the woods. It was magical to watch. I could see their imaginations running wild as they learned and grew with the environment they were placed in. They came to participate in a photoshoot, but they did so much more than that, they bloomed. Their friendships became stronger and their minds curious all within the short time we were there, and all because of the inspiration they gained from their stunning Hide and Cotton hats. I never knew a piece of clothing could have such a positive impact on a child's learning experience until yesterday. All I know is that one day when I have babes of my own they will have an abundance of Hide and Cotton hats to take on all their adventures and to help them see the world in a new and magical way.
This tall dead grass was not our friend... if filled the girls outfits and shoes with dozens of prickly pieces, but they were happy troopers despite the discomfort.
Little miss Mina, I just love you. This little bunny is one of the most kind-hearted littles I know. Her suspenders are from Pirapir and Crop top from Rose and Bell.
The way these three played and explored together would have made anyone think they have known each other forever. They immediately bonded and it was the sweetest thing to be able to see new and old friendships bloom. The floral suspenders are from Peyton's Lane, the suspender skirt is from Little People Rocx, and the beautiful shoes are from Honey and Hide.
Sweet little Amari was so in love with the fresh blooms. She spent all her time curiously exploring the wood and was in fawn heaven. Her peter pan collar is from Billy Bibs.
Miss Harper was so excited to spend time with her friends. She even asked to stay longer and keep taking pictures with them, it was the sweetest.
Honey and Hide was so sweet and teamed up with Hide and Cotton to make the styling for this shoot possible. Her shoes are stunning and impeccably made, I can't wait to work with this mama again.
Hide and Cotton, thank you for allowing these girls to explore, imagine, and bloom. I am so grateful that you allowed me to be a little part of it.
